Dr. Foyt received his M.D. degree from the Columbia College in New York City. He attended The Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. After graduating, he spent the next years gaining precious specialist experience. He performed his Residency in Otolaryngology at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York . Dr. Foyt afterwards underwent an extensive additional subspecialty training in Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at the House Ear Clinic, in Los Angeles. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Foyt currently holds academic title in the division of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the Albany Medical Center. He has a large teaching activity there, serving as Assistant Clinical Professor. He is a partner of The Capital Region Otolaryngology Head and Neck Group, in a clinic Subspecialized for ear, facial nerve and balance disorders. Acoustic neuroma, skull base surgery and cochlear implantation center It's worth saying that Dr. Foyt is the the only subspecialty trained ear surgeon in the Albany area.

Dr. Foyt's main areas of clinical interest are the following: cochlear implants, otosclerosis, hearing loss, cholesteatoma, acoustic neuroma, vertigo, Meniere's Disease and Facial Nerve Disorders.
