Dr. Valentino Joseph - Otolaryngology / Otorinolaringoiatria

Dr. Valentino received his M.D. degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He afterwards performed his Residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics, from 1988 to 1992. In addition to this, he served his Fellowship in Microvascular Reconstruction and Head and Neck Oncology at the University of Iowa, from 1992 to 1993, gaining precious specialist experience. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Valentino currently holds the position of Associate Professor of the Division of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He also has a large research activity. His main areas of interest include the following: Gene therapy, EGR-1 and PAR-4 mechanisms and Quality of life in head and neck cancer patients. His special surgical interests are: Head and neck oncology, Thyroid surgery, Microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck and Laser surgery.

Dr. Valentino is well recognized by his peers. It's worth saying that he is among 51 ear, nose and throat specialists to receive the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery's prestigious Honor Award.
