Dr. Partin received his M.D. degree from the Johns Hopkins University in 1989. He afterwards served his Surgical Internship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, where he also performed his Surgical Junior Residency. Dr. Partin performed his Urology Residency at the Brady Urological Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr Partin has taught Urology since 1994 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. He currently serves as Bernard L. Schwartz Distinguished Professor of Urologic Oncology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Dr Partin has published extensively on Urology issues. He has also been honoured with numerous awards for his urologic research. Dr Partin's main areas of clinical and surgical interest are the development and testing of methods for predicting the aggressiveness of prostate cancers, so as to help both patients and doctor to make the best treatment decisions. He also has a special interest in benign prostatic hyperplasia with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques for treatment of this common disease of men. |
