Dr. Aker Alan B. - Ophthalmology / Oftalmologia

Dr. Aker received his M.D. degree from the New York Medical College. In addition, he is graduate of well-respected New York residency programs. He is Board Certified by both the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Eye Surgery. It's worth saying that he has served as President of both organizations. He is currently Chief Medical Editor for Ophthalmology Management. Dr. Aker is a member of the American College of Eye Surgeons.

He is a highly distinguished eye surgeon recognized by his peers in his country as a leader and lecturer on cataracts, implants and laser surgery. His professional qualifications, experience and philosophy make him unique in the field of eye surgery. Because of that, Dr. Aker has been chosen to be listed in the highly respected book entitled "Best Doctors In America". This choice is very important as it reflects the opinions of physicians in the same field of cataract surgery throughout the country.

Dr. Aker and his wife Dr. Kasten-Aker are Co-Directors and Chief Surgeons of the Aker Kasten Cataract and Laser Institute. Both of them have as a goal to provide the patients with the best possible surgical care.
