Dr. Kurpis graduated from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1974. He was immediately invited back to teach future dentists the art and science of advanced restorative and prosthetic dentistry. He maintained his associate professorship there until the mid nineteen eighties, when his life long work in the field of dental implantology and cosmetic dentistry began. His early research with baboon primates culminated in a dental implant design so unique that the United States government granted him a patent for his work.
