Dr. Perdigon has held numerous positions of importance in his professional society. He has been delegate and alternate delegate to the Florida Dental Association. He has served on several councils to the Florida Dental Association and its constituent society. He has been president of the Academy of 100 University of Florida Dental School and Hillsborough County Dental Society. He has also been chairman of numerous committees, including the United Way, Children’s Dental Health Week and Fluoride and has served as arrangement chairman for several dental conventions. He has had a distinguished career in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He remained in the Naval Reserves for 26 years, during which he served as commanding officer of several Marine and navy dental units until his retirement as Captain.

Dr. Perdigon is a member of numerous civic and social organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors of several of these organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce and high schools. Dr. Perdigon has stayed on the "cutting edge" of dentistry by participating in over 1100 hours of postgraduate and seminar study, in order to pursue the latest scientific and technological advances.
