Dr. Michael Goodman

Obstetrics and Gynecology

   
Dr. Goodman received his M.D. degree from the Medical School of the MD Wayne State University in 1968. He performed his Internship at the Highland Alameda Co. Hospital from 1968 to 1969. He afterwards served his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Stanford University and affiliated hospitals from 1969 to 1972. He also underwent an additional training in advanced operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and endo-vaginal ultrasound. He is Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also accredited in Advanced Operative Laparoscopy.

Dr. Goodman has been Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UCSF. He published many papers on issues of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has numerous presentations at hospital training sessions and clinical meetings, with emphasis upon menopause and hormone replacement therapy, vaginitis, advanced operative laparoscopy, pelvic ultrasound, pelvic pain, etc. He currently serves as is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

He is a member of many professional and scientific societies, such as: Society of Reproductive Surgeons, California Medical Association and Sierra-Sacramento Co. Medical Society, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Fertility Society, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, North American Menopause Society, California Medical Review, Inc. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
