Dr. Smith Barry D. - Obstetrics and Gynecology / Ostetricia e Ginecologia

Dr. Smith received his M.D. degree from the Cornell University Medical College in New York in1962. After graduating, he spent the next years gaining precious specialist experience. He served his Internship at the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital (Rotating) in Hanover, NH, from 1962 until 1963. Afterwards, he performed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York Hospital, in New York from 1963 until 1968.

Dr. Smith was Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1970. It's worth saying that the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology also recertified him in 1979. His special interests are the following: Laparoscopy and Pelviscopic Surgery, Functional Health Care Outcomes, Cesarean Section Quality Review and Perinatal Chemical Dependency.

Dr. Smith has a large experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, joining the clinical staff of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in 1970. He currently serves there as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The department provides the following services: Comprehensive maternity care (with the help of generalist obstetrics gynecologist physicians and master prepared Certified Nurse Midwives), Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncologic Services, Endocrine Infertility Services, Menopause therapy and Treatment of menstrual abnormalities, Urogynecology.
