Dr. Day received his MD. Degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. After graduating, he spent the next years gaining precious specialist experience. He served his Residency in Neurological Surgery at the LAC-USC Medical Center. He then performed a Research Fellowship in Cranial Base Surgery and Anatomy at the University of Vienna in Austria.

Dr. Day is an expert in the following areas of Neurological Surgery: Management of skull base tumors, Management of acoustic neuromas, Microvascular compression syndrome (trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, glossopharyngeal neuralgia), Treatment of meningiomas, Treatment of cavernous sinus tumors and Treatment of pituitary tumors. In addition, Dr. Day is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He was a Clinical Research Fellow of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons in 1994.
