Dr. Costa Louis E. - Aesthetic Surgery / Chirurgia Estetica

Dr. Costa received his M.D. degree from the Medical University of SC College of Dentistry, Charleston, SC in 1979. He is Board Certified both by the American Board of Facial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He received Postgraduate training in Oral/Maxillo Facial Surgery at the Medical University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Birmingham, AL, from 1979 until 1982. He then trained in General Surgery at the Medical University of SC, Charleston, SC, from 1982 until 1983. Afterwards, he underwent additional training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of Alabama College of Medicine, Birmingham, AL, from 1983 until 1987.

Dr. Costa serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. He is on the surgical staffs of Roper and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospitals. He also serves as director and chief surgeon of the Southeastern Facial Plastic Surgery Center. He performs every year more than 500 facial procedures. He has numerous publications on maxillo-facial surgery. He has made many presentations on plastic surgery topics. He is currently listed in "The Best Doctors in America".

Dr. Costa is a member of many professional organizations, including the: American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, the South Carolina State Medical Society etc. He is married and the father of four children.
