Dr. Betz Randal R. - Orthopaedy / Ortopedia

Dr. Betz graduated in 1977 from the Temple University School of Medicine Philadelphia, where he afterwards served his Internship in General Surgery from 1977 to 1978 and his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from 1978 to 1982. He performed a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Alfred I. duPont Institute, Wilmington, DE from 1982 to1983. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation: Spinal Cord Injury.

Dr. Betz serves as Professor at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Temple University School of Medicine and Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor at the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. He is currently Assistant Chief of Staff and Medical Director of Spinal Cord Injury Unit at the Shriners Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, PA.

He has been honoured with academic honours and awards by several scientific societies. He is the author of numerous books, monographs and chapters on Orthopaedic Surgery issues. He has served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics from 1999. In addition, he is Associate Editor of the Spinal Frontiers.
