Dr. Rogerson graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School. He served his internship at the McKennan Hospital in South Dakota. He performed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been in practice in Madison for over 20 years. He is an expert in the care of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee, with a special emphasis on arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, reconstructive surgery and joint replacement. He was a pioneer in the region in the use of computer-generated total joint replacements in some cases.

Dr. Rogerson is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of numerous scientific societies, including the following: International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, Dane County Sports Medicine Society, Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society, Dane County Medical Society, Wisconsin Medical Society, Madison Orthopaedic Society, American Medical Association. He is also an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, having held several positions of importance in the Association.
